Lithuanian photographer Ivetė Ivens, living and working in Chicago became one of the most popular photography artists amongst women who have just gave a birth to their child. She captures not simple mother‘s life moments, but a pure and saint action – breastfeeding.
Ivetė Ivens got famous when she represented her set of photographies where you can see mothers breastfeeding their children. Even though, this is a bit controversial topic, seems like the world approved and liked this type of art. Her work schedule is full and booked until 2018! Seems like women from all over America really want to capture a moment when nursing their children.
First baby of Ivetė Ivens was born when she was only twenty years old. After two and a half year she gave a birth to her second child. The idea to capture this private and delicate moment was very spontaneous: when she was breastfeeding two of her children, she decided to take a picture of her. Young photographer published this picture via social media and received many positive feedbacks.
I.Ivens says that she nursed both of her children anywhere she wanted, even in public. Young photographer thinks that birth of child is a miracle. That‘s why it is very important to capture all beautiful and saint moments between mother and child. I.Ivens believes that breastfeeding is necessary not only because of the health benefits, she thinks that this action improves the relation between mother and child, helps to avoid stress and even reduce physical pain.
